I’m a Husband and Dad, the ERP Manager at the City of Milwaukee, and a Disciple and worker at First United Methodist of West Allis.   I’m also a general member of the Wisconsin Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, a member of the Board of Divine Intervention, and the Chair of the Supervisory Committee for Prime Financial Credit Union.

As I study the Bible, sometimes I feel moved to work through my understanding by writing poetry.  This will be my place for storing and  sharing that poetry.  I also am going through a process to discern my calling, and to learn more about Christian Leadership, and this will be my place to store those musings.

Sometimes I just feel like writing about something that grabs my attention too.

  1. I just wanted to say thanks for voting for my poem, “Last Words” (http://lettersfromthewasteland.com/2012/02/08/poetry-challenge-last-words/), on the ClownRhymes poetry challenge. I’m glad you liked it!

I have changed my header photograph after 2 years of keeping it with the ferns. I did like the ferns, so I may change it back soon. For today, though, I am using a snippet of a photo I took in Door County, Wisconsin.
I am going to try to keep my schedule of posting at two per week from now on. Tuesday will be a new or repeated poem by me, and Thursday will be an essay on missions or leadership studies or a random recommendation of something. That has been my basic schedule for the past six months, but sometimes I add days. I won’t do that so much going forward, but may re-blog other work on weekend days.

  5. Hey there, I dig your poetry!
